Traveling With Children :: Parenting Internet Papers
Traveling With Children About four years ago a friend of mine guided me into a couple of chat rooms. The subject of the rooms had to do with sports. It was very strange how the other members of the community knew when you logged in or logged out. Sometimes the members would see that you were there but not participating in the "conversation". They would try to bring you into the conversation or come right out and ask you what you were there for. The conversations can go quite quickly so I had a hard time keeping up sometimes. They were friendly, though, and would just ask again if a person did not answer in enough time. I have not been in a chat room since. It seems easier when you already know another person in the room. I actually think it is kind of creepy. I will not know who these people are. Do I want them to know my log on name? What if they are weirdoes and look up my personal information on the internet? Do they even have this capability? It is pretty obvious that I do not know much about the internet. I do know how to E-Mail someone. I do not have a problem going to a web site if I know the address. If I am searching for something I actually get very frustrated, because it takes so much time if you do not know what you are doing. One link leads to another, then another, then another and then you forget where you started. The community I am most curious about is the chat room community. I am going to plung right in and face my fears. Will I feel comfortable to participate in the conversations? Will the people in the chat room be talking about something that interests me? Will I be able to keep up? I assume it will be difficult. My topic is "Traveling with Children". I have no idea if there are even any chat rooms out there about this subject. I read an article in the travel section of the Los Angeles Times every other week about traveling with children, so there must be some sort of audience out there. I assume there must be resources on this subject because traveling is so popular. The internet seems like it would be a useful tool for research and if I find the chat rooms I imagine it will be very helpful. The Suffragettes
What was the aim of the suffragettes? The suffrage movement was mainly women from middle class backgrounds. These women were frustrated by their social and economic situation and wanted an outlet through which to initiate change. The word suffrage comes form French and means being allowed to vote. They were fighting for their legal right to vote and the injustice of the women situation of not having equal rights as men in the early 20th century. But men in power denied it, so they resorted to violence. They started to fire mailboxes, smashing windows and blowing bombs.Tactics how did they get their point across? This group of women, the suffragettes, used a variety of tactics during their fight for equal rights as men. Tactics varied from passive such as using uniforms in order to attract publicity or staging marches, public meetings even printing their own newspaper. They also visited factories aiming to convince workingwomen to join their cause. They indeed got noticed; all kinds o f women joined the movement. Nevertheless, the parliament didnââ¬â¢t grant them the right to vote.As a reaction to this denial, they responded with more destructive tactics like smashing shop windows, setting fire and bombs in buildings. They purposely tried to get arrested in order to shock people and make them realize that they were being treated like criminals. When they were in prison suffragettes went on hunger strike. Eventually the women were forced-fed. A tube was forced down their throat and liquid was poured down. It was very painful. After this violent strategy, some participants thought they had gone to far and resigned.Leadership: Emily Davidson an English women from a modest background who struggled her way through college, was a well-known participant of the suffragettes movement. She is a great example of their determination and perseverance. During her years as a suffragette, she was arrested for various offences, including a violet attack on a man. During these arrests, she was tortured and force fed after a hunger strike, and suffered from severe spinal damage when throwing herself down an iron staircase as a protest. Her tactics became more and more extreme as planting bombs. Her motto was ââ¬Å"Rebellion against tyrants is obedience to God. â⬠The final act that earned her eternal fame as suffragette and demonstrated her strong will power and bravery was when she threw herself under the King's horse, Anmer, as it rounded Tattenham Corner becoming like this the first martyr of the suffragette cause. Success of the cause: With the outbreak of the war in 1914, the WSPU ended their political activities. All suffragettes were released from prison and they focused on supporting the war. Many women worked very hard during the war, they took jobs normally reserved for men. The huge numbers of men needed to fight the war and the high numbers of wounded amongst the soldiers, forced men to employ women as gas workers, coal heavers, transport w orkers, and ambulance drivers. When the war ended, these female workers were rewarded with a law that allowed women over 30 years of age with property, to vote in parliamentary elections and even become Members of Parliament. Finally in 1928 all women over the age of 21 were given the right to vote. Relevance of the suffragette movement: The suffragettes confronted, for the first time, the prejudice against women that has always existed throughout history. They attacked it both political and culturally, and they realized that they needed to win the right to vote because without political power they didnââ¬â¢t have a chance to change their position in society. The belief of the time was that women were not competent enough to compete with men and to participate in politics. They had nothing to loose in the beginning and their ideas of how far they could take their actions in the name of their principles had no limits. They would do anything that was needed to change the future of th e women who would follow them. Still this political movement remains very important for modern society today, there are still many challenges limiting the rights of women. Even though the suffragettes accomplished quite a lot, equality between men and women has yet to be achieved. Their example teaches us perseverance and commitment to a cause even when there seems to be no hope of winning.

Differences between indentured servants and slaves Essay
During the early years of the 1600s m both Europeans and Africans moved over from England and became bind servants. Indentured servants were employed by pie-eyed people and were employ mainly for rubbishy labor. Some types of labor consisted of working in the fields and helping farmers. Around the 1680s is when the employment of destined servants slowly dropped. The antecedent for the drop was due to the rise of buckle downry. This was inhibitminded by European and euro-American colonist who created a slave based community. There were even laws that make bondage race dependent. There were both(prenominal) differences amongst indentured servants and slaves. Indentured servants were utilise for cheap labor. They communicated easily with their masters due to having the same religious views and cultures. Indentured servants were to a lower place a contract that banded them to their master for 7 years. Once the contract expire after 7 years they were freed. They were thus allowed to acquire their own land. Slaves were also used for labor but there were laws that were set up in place that treated them differently. hotshot law they had was the Anti-amalgamation law, which outlawed interracial devolve on and marriage, rendering any relationship between a mannish colonist and a female slave illegal, and any relationship between an African American male slave and a female colonist intolerable. (Schultz, 2014). If an African American commence was to have a nipper, that child was natural into slavery and thus made the child a slave as well, at one time he or she was old enough. The slaves did not have a contract that discontinue after 7 years. Slaves were permanently own by their masters. This meant that their masters could punish them any way he saw hold in for anything they did wrong. There were also no laws that oversaw the killings of souls own slave. The reason I chose this topic for my journal entry is because I did not know anything about indentured servants. I did not know such(prenominal) practice existed. Hoping that it would help a lot to the direction to easily control their system and performed it excellently through the cooperation of their employee and staffs.OBJECTIVESComputers have the great intrusion on the profession of chronicle. With the rapid growth of engineering science today, on that point is no doubt that computer will be incur a common asset in all profession. As computer engineering changes at such fast phase, umteen businesses sectors try to sleep together up by upgrading computer system forever and a day in parade to stay competitive. The multi-function ability of technology for its advance system is likewise an important divisor for a company to use software. Payroll Management System by use arousal construction such as computer to store selective information is wholeness of t he software that the professional is develop, the system is life-threatening for its specialty in the fields of accounting, It is easy to use and effective and efficient in organizing and scheming the requital transactions. succession in manual of arms(a) system payroll are difficult and hard-work, you need to a greater extent clock in order to make your school payroll computations accurately, manageable and reliable to your employees. In addition, in manual computation we female genitalsnot say that, at that place are no human errors in work out the payroll, same in computerization process, scarce similar to the manual process. And because of the bulkiness of the school employee that needs to pay for their services, the school needs more cartridge clip to calculate and to reconcile their payroll. In order to base this problem, they should developed the alternative solutions using the advance technology, by merging the software and ironware technology. It is a Computer ized Payroll System. The system will apportion a big relief to the employee and employers as well, to slighten their time consuming for inputting information and computations to the payroll process. dispatch CONTEXTTechnology pretty much touches all of our lives in some way and hence technology news is a vital resource that can keep us up to date with developments and ways in which the world will be changing. For instance, the onslaught of digital television is something that will affect almost concourse news stories that inform us of the dates for the switching over are vital so the norm member of public can understand when their analog signal will be turned off. In the same way, news of technologies that may make our cars safer and more efficient is important to all those who drive on our roads. Todays world is full of pieces of technology that we take for granted, the microchip has truly revolutionized the way in which we live and do business. The world we see would not b e recognizable to people of a a couple of(prenominal) generations ago and nowhere is this truism greater than in the world of computing. Hence it is important to stay up to date with technology news while many may think that this type of news is rigorously for geeks it is clear that all of us should have at least a passing interest in news of technological developments. The phenomena is only set to continue, as computers become more powerful and have greater and greater applications it will not be retentive that we will plan our lives around the computer. This is not an look for to act as a harbinger of doom, it is just theorizing on ways in which technology will impact upon the human race. Computers are used in every industry and type of business today. They come in many different forms and new uses are creation developed constantly. report OF THE PROBLEMOur tax is to creation a new payroll system. The doddery system is outdated and no longer adequately manages the payroll pr ocess and the entry of employee time taunt information. Therefore, manual intervention is required to process the payroll. In addition to the preexisting category of salaried employee, which the live payroll process does support, our organization now applys two new types of employees those employees working on commission, and those employees working on an hourly basis. The indisputable payroll process doesnt support these two new employee types, which are expound in detail later in this problem fixment. In addition to accommodating all employee types, as well as ensuring that our system can accommodate newly created categories of employees in the future, the system must also allow each of these employees to save his or her data information or daily time prove through presenting his/her valid ID, or any valid data that support his/her request. The Administrator is the only dish out person who is capable to have an account and to reckon in order to save and retrieve such ki nd of teachers list of datas being given . The payroll process can process only signed time cards, which are those time cards that the employee has identified as accurate. Overall, the system will store information about the approximately 2,000 school teacher employees. The payroll process must run on the fifteenth and last day of each month at 1200 A.M.Eventually, the system must modify employees to maintain their direct request information via the system as well. However, this feature is beyond the scope of the initial release. If we basically compare to the manual process and computerized process. The administrator consumes a lot of time in calculating each employees Salary and recoding as well. It took several hours to finish a manual figuring for the Employees wage. It also consumes a lot of time to search for their names whiz by one and its not well organised. After a manual calculation has been done, the user still has to convert it for a record. The computation that have been make is also need to be written on a br make envelop together with their cash pay. While in computerized payroll system process the administrator will save a lot of time with less effort in calculating each employees Salary and recoding as well.feasibleness FACTORSIn the field of computer and technology, there forever an option to automate things likes payroll system. But of course, A feasibility study should be conducted in order to see the benefits of computerized payroll system over manual payroll system as well as other(a) alternatives. At first, you should study the organizational systems such as the users, policies, functions and objectives. Consider also the problems existing over the present systems like redundancies, inconsistencies and slow services. Also, know the constraints such as the nonfunctional requirement. After analyzing the present or current system, possible alternatives should be presented. Sticking to the current or present system is always an alte rnative. Advantages and disadvantages of each alternative should be discussed. In addition, the computation of requital analysis, net present value analysis, and return on investment analysis should be included in your feasibility study. If there is a feasibility study, the beaver alternative is to be preferred by the management because there a chance of comparing alternative. feasibleness study will determine the topper solution to theproblems. After all, feasibility study is written to appreciate each alternative and come out of the best alternative that will benefit the intended people involved in this study. This project suggestion is conducted in order to give and see the benefit of computerized payroll system over manual payroll system as well as other alternatives. In manual payroll system accounting has a hard time to do all things such kind of work like saving all the data files of their school teacher employee and do such kind of mathematical computation to calculate t he salary of the teachers wages and taxes deduction. Having a hard time to locate such requested files to processed. Thats why we do proposed this kind of system to letting their realize that there is such a possible way to make their works faster and completely done .The only main advantage of this system is that they can process data and compute salary more than a manual form can do. But also we cannot say that this proposed system is such a consummate(a) idea theres also a disadvantage on it. Using a computerized payroll system comes with its own set of problems, such as the need to protect against data bolshie through power nonstarter or viruses, and the danger of hackers stealing data. Computer pretender is also a concern, and you need to instigate a system of controls for who has access to the information, particularly teacher information. If there is a security breach and data is stolen, management can be held personally liable for the loss of data. You also need to make sure that the data has been correctly entered into the system, as a mistake in data entry can throw off a whole set of data. A payroll system involves everything that has to do with the payment of employees and the filing of barter taxes. This includes keeping track of hours, calculating wages, withholding taxes and other deductions, printing and delivering checks and paying employment taxes to the government.SIGNIFICANCE OF THE fieldSpeed in touch on payroll system will have a faster act by means of decreasing the manual input areas.Mathematical errors will be prevented by impulsive computations that the proposed, system will provide and you may not have to worry about havingfinancial or legal trouble. Do the salary computation/transaction with the deduction of taxes through computerized system for fast processing.Tallying of time cards will be done automatically by only presenting /tapping his/her valid teacher ID to the accounting department . In the proposed system the adm inistrator is the one responsible in computing that the time the employee worked. The proposed system will record all data in all reports at the same time so you can make sure they are invariable and it also saves time.Employers will never have to dismiss much time in keeping up to date with taxes and deductions because the system will be designed updated to such deductions.Storage of files will be safe and secured for which only the administrator has the only have the privilege and also not easily be accessed. well to manage and handle by a certain person , doing such work like saving, retrieving and computing faster. The teacher can access their data files but only just to view it to make them updated regarding with their salary transaction.REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATUREIn less than a generation, computer technology has revolutionized business all over the world. This has brought about changes in the area of business, finance, industry, government, agriculture, education, health c are, sports and even on our personal lives. Today, computers do much of the works. Data collection continues to become easier and easier, data processing is getting faster and faster, mathematical calculations continue to be performed with increased precision and information is being provided to users in generally more useful forms. Such that was made possible through the use of electronic files and database. This chapter presents some of the previous related works relevant to the agreement of the problem. In order to gather information, We used books, dissertation and encyclopedia. The wide spread development of digital technology also results to parallel advance in software, which allows this technology to be used by persons other than computer experts. The database has become a central organized framework for information system, taking advantage of the concept of data independence that allows sharing among diverse system organized collection of data maintained and used with the aid of management information system (mis). It is a state of the art information system process and retrieve information ever faster, they are more full-bodied in terms of the volume of data that they can process and in terms of reliability and their exploit is more cost-effective.BUTUAN CITY SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES payroll department SYSTEMA DocumentationPresented to the Computer Studies programFather Saturnino Urios UniversityButuan CityIn Partial fulfilment of theRequirements for the SubjectSYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGNIT 304ByRheman TidalgoAnalyn RiveraAilyn SonSeptember 19, 2013DEDICATIONThis project proposal is dedicated to theBCSAT School DepartmentAnd to the TeachersFaculty plyAccounting DepartmentTABLE OF CONTENTS rogue TITLE PAGE i INTRODUCTION ii OBJECTIVES iii ACKNOWLEDGMENT iv DEDICATION x ABSTRACT xi LIST OF TABLES xiiCHAPTER1. labour CONTEXTBackground of the Study 1 appraise and Literature 1 2.
